Valentine's Day.
I have never cared about Valentine's day.
I still don't, really, i guess. but, if you think about it, it really is a noble holiday.
For those of you who don't know, Valentines day, is the day that a man named valentine was beheaded. The roman government had become angry because men wouldn't join the army because they were too attached to their wives. So, they made marriage and engagements illegal.
Valentine, however, wouldn't stand for it. He began marrying people in secret, claiming that nothing could stop love.
when the government found out, they had him beaten with clubs and beheaded on February 14th.
Therefore, he died for love.
that's pretty legit, if you ask me.
Another thing that I've learned this Valentine's day, that i think i knew before, but you know, got confirmed to me, is that it doesn't have to be "showy". the most incredible things that happen in life are the little things that people do, that they don't have to, but do anyway. the tiny things that make life as great as it is.
Love is patient, love is kind. Love never fails. :)

Valentine's Day started out as a nice holiday. But what Valentine's Day has turned into is... pretty lame if you ask me. Maybe that's only because I'm single? But I still think it's corny. Haha
