i need to tell you a story.
Once upon a time, there was an amazing school. We call it OCCS. it was early spring, and the 7th and 8th grade was outside playing foursquare. one of the 8th graders (lindsey) sad she saw lightning but no one beleived her. I saw it too. But hey. So then, a little later, we both saw lightning, and so did the teacher so we went inside. Next thing we knew, it was storming really bad. The girls were in the bathroom changing from gym, and as i came out i saw through the window really dark clouds. I walked up to the window and looked out. whoah.... I thought. In the sky, near the school, was an insanely low cloud. it looked like the formation of a tornado. i run into the bathroom and grab Rebekah. I brought her to the window. then she did a DUMB but HILARIOUS thing. she runs back into the girls bathroom and screams, "THERES A TORNADO!". So, we all run into the classroom, and the lights keep turning on and off. blackout after blackout. i was sitting at "my desk" in a group of four. Alexa, Susie, Tony and I. Rumors quickly circulated around the room. "theres a tornado", "we're gonna get brought down to the basement..." soon enough Mr. Nygard came into our dark classroom and had us line up quietly. We walked down to the basement and found a spot near the middle. we all sat down. I could hear mrs. Khamis reading her 2nd graders a story. Mrs. Clark(the tall one) , and mrs. Krauss started praying. Justice and Jaime were crying. I sat there with Alexa and Susie. Mr Nygard was still upstairs. He had to stay. He was the only one.. i think.. maybe mrs. thorpe... idk..... the doors and windows were bolted down. Debris flew around in the air. I looked at Susie. Her face was totally calm, though her dad was upstairs in the midst of this terrible storm.after a good 30-40-60 minutes, we all went back upstairs. the storm was done. as we filed out of the basement, we looked into the cafeteria. The doors and windows were open. they had been forced open. the floor was covered in water. we passed a wall. there was a crack. Water lazily gushed from the top. &th graders had to go to math. We went to math, and the floor there was also wet. we didn't do much math... the rest of that day was sooo weird. None of us have forgotten. it has been over a year since then. A storm like that..... It shows God's power in such a way. Mr. Nygard was fine. we were all a little shooken up, but it was good. that day was soooo amazing. i hope to never,. ever forget it.wow.
